Set it up

There is no Housecall Pro connector. The agent calls webhook tools you configure, pointed at a service of yours that uses Housecall Pro's API. Vendor details read in October 2026.

  1. Get API access

    An admin generates an API key in Housecall Pro. Housecall Pro offers API keys on the MAX plan only.

  2. Expose two endpoints

    Your service looks up customers and creates jobs using Housecall Pro's API. The lookup returns the match as customer.id, which the tool saves as customer_id for the job.

  3. Add the tools

    Add both webhook tools and the transfer rule in the Playground, then assign a phone number.

  4. Test with a real address

    Call the agent, describe a leak, and check that the job appears with notes.

Does Housecall Pro have an AI receptionist?

Yes, CSR AI, a separate subscription. Housecall Pro's help center says it answers calls, introduces itself as AI, books jobs against technician availability, and can forward calls to a number you provide or an HCP Assist agent. A Cartesia agent is the build-your-own route, creating jobs through Housecall Pro's API from a service of yours.

Can an AI agent create jobs in Housecall Pro?

Yes. One webhook tool finds the customer by phone number, and another creates a job with the address, the problem and the requested time. Both call a service of yours that uses Housecall Pro's API, so the office starts from notes instead of a voicemail.

Does Housecall Pro API access depend on my plan?

Yes. Housecall Pro's help center says API keys are available on the MAX plan only, and only admins can generate them. The agent can't create jobs without one.

Will the AI agent quote prices to callers?

No, if your instructions say so, and this page's do. The agent books the visit and your team prices the work on site. Existing customers who ask for a person are transferred to the office line.

Does the agent need my Housecall Pro password?

No. Your service holds the Housecall Pro API credentials, and the agent only holds a bearer token for your service. Rotate that token without touching Housecall Pro if it ever leaks.

What does a Housecall Pro voice agent cost to run?

Agents run at $0.03/min, plus LLM usage and telephony. You don't need CSR AI for this setup. Transfers need a Twilio or SIP trunk number, per Cartesia's docs, so put the number on Twilio or a SIP trunk if the agent hands callers to staff.
